The ceiling height of both parts of the building is pleasant, 2.75 m.   Authentic farmhouse The original farmhouse with a thatched roof, built in the 1850s from volcanic stone from Tihany, underwent a complete renovation in 2020, taking into account the heritage protection regulations. During the renovation, specialists in architectural history managed the works, which combine modern comfort (e.g.: telephone-controlled heating system, remote-controlled gate, automatic watering system) and functionality with the original atmosphere of the building.   During the restoration, the roof, electricity and water pipes, doors and windows, cold and hot coverings, as well as sanitary facilities. Step-proof, 25 cm insulation is placed under the thatched roof. The furnishings include many authentic pieces of furniture and hand-woven items. New building wingA new building wing was added to the original part of the building in the same style as Tihany's architectural direction, which creates perfect harmony with the main building.   The panoramic terrace at the top offers a wonderful view of the Inner Lake, the western basin of Balaton, the Calvary and the Abbey. Underfloor heating in the home ensures a pleasant temperature, provided by a condensing gas boiler.   Thanks to the thick stone walls (40-50 cm), the insulation of the attic, the well-insulated windows and doors, the temperature is pleasant in winter and summer with minimal effort. Car parking is possible in a closed yard accessible by an electric gate (for about 4 cars), or in the electrically openable , possible in a nearly 18 sqm, heated, insulated garage.   In the well-kept yard, plants have been planted that match the landscape, and the water supply is provided by an automatic irrigation system. Utilities (electricity, water, gas, sewage, sprinkler water with a separate meter) and modern comfort services (TV, Internet) are provided. The doors and windows are made of wood, with mosquito nets. Heating: condensing gas boiler, underfloor heating.   Tihany is one of the most beautiful settlements in the Balaton highlands, the gem of the area, with many tourist attractions.
